Graduate Professionals Enlistment – Ghana Police Recruitment 2017/2018



GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

All Applicants shall satisfy these requirements in addition to the specific requirement for a specific category. An Applicant must:

a. be a Ghanaian
b. be of good character and without criminal record
c. not have been dismissed from any public service or any other employment
d. be not more than the age stated for a specific category by 1st January, 2018
e. be at least 5 feet 8 inches (173cm) tall for males and 5 feet 4 inches (163CM) for females
f. be physically and medically fit by Ghana Police Service standards
g. be able to speak and write in fluent English Language
h. be knowledgeable in basic computer application
i. have active e-mail account and mobile phone number
j. be ready to undergo basic Police training and other forms of training

In addition to the general requirements, an Applicant who applies to this category must satisfy the requirements stated under the specific sub-category

1. AUDIOLOGIST

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having MSc. Audiology (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, with at least one (1) year post National Service working experience as an Audiologist ist in a recognised health facility.

2. BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to possessing BSc. In Biomedical Engineering (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board with at least one (1) year post National service working experience in an accredited health facility.

3. BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST (HISTOTECHNOLOGIST)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to being registered with the Allied Health Professions Council plus one (1) year post National Service as a Biomedical Scientist in a reputable laboratory facility plus being Histotechnology bias with experience in tissue grossing, processing & microtomy, slide preparation and staining and possess BSc. Medical Laboratory Science (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board;

Experience in immure Instochemistry will be an added advantage.

4. COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in any of the listed qualification in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience;

a. BA Communication Studies;
b. BA Journalism;
c. BA Public Relations;
d. BA English Language;
e. BA Photography.

5. DIETICIAN

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having BSc. Dietetics (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, with at least one (1) year post National Service working experience as a Dietician in a recognised health facility.

6. ESTATE OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in any of the listed qualification in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience;

a. Bsc Land Economy;
b. Bsc Geomatics / Geodetic Engineering (Land Surveyor).

7. FINANCE AND AUDIT OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in any of the listed qualification in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience;

a. BSc Accounting;
b. BSc Finance;

A second degree or Professional qualification will be an added advantage.

8. GENERAL NURSE (GRADUATE)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and must have a qualification in any of the following listed fields (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience:

a. BA Nursing
b. BA Emergency Nursing

9. ICT OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have professional certificates in Network Engineering & Information Security, Software Engineering, Web Applications & Development, Web Design & Management Information and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in any of the listed qualification in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience;

a. BSc Computer Science;
b. BSc Computer Engineering;
c. BSc Information Technology.

10. LEGAL OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have been called to the Bar and must have completed pupilage in addition to having a valid license to practice in Ghana and must be a member of the Ghana Bar Association in good standing.

11. MARINE ADMINISTRATION / LOGISTICS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having interest in working in and around the sea and must have completed the mandatory one (1) year National Service. Applicant must also have a Bachelor Degree in a relevant field (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board in any of the following fields:

a. Port and Shipping Administration;
b. Logistics Management.

12. MARINE TECHNICIANS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having interest in working in and around the sea and must have completed the mandatory one (1) year National Service. Applicant must also have a Bachelor of Science Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board in any of the following fields:

a. Physical Sciences;
b. Marine Electrical Engineering;
c. Marine Engineering;
d. Nautical Engineering;

13. MEDICAL DOCTOR

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent in addition to a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and must have at least one (1) year post qualification working experience in a recognised health facility.

14. MEDICAL SPECIALIST

Applicant must be not more than 35 years by 1st January, 2018, must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from a recognised College; plus a relevant Post Graduate qualification to the level of Membership/Fellowship of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS/WACS/WACP) in addition to at least two (2) years post qualification experience in any of the following fields;

a. General Surgeons;
b. Obstetrics / Gyneacologist;
c. Physician Specialist;
d. Anesthetist;
e. Ophthamology;
f. Ear Nose and Throat;
g. Urologist;
h. Doctor Anaesthetist.

15. MIDWIFERY OFFICER (GRADUATE)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have BSc. Midwifery (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University and a qualification in any of the specialty listed below with at least two (2) years post qualification experience plus a Registered Midwifery Certificate (RM).

16. PHARMACIST

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to possessing a minimum of Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (BPharm) (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, be registered with the Pharmacy Council and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana with at least one (1) year post National service working experience as a Pharmacist.

17. PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (GRADUATE)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to a BSc. Physician Assistantship (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University and two (2) years post qualification experience in addition to a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council;

18. PHYSIOTHERAPIST

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having MSc. Physiotherapy (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, with at least one (1) year post National Service working experience as a Physiotherapist in a recognised health facility.

19. PROJECT OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in any of the listed qualification in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience:

a. BSc Electrical Engineering;
b. BSc Civil Engineering;
c. BSc Architecture;
d. BSc Building Technology (Management Option).

20. PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to having BSc. Environmental Science or BSc. Public Health (Environmental Health or Disease Control Option) (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, with at least one (1) year post National Service working experience as a Public Health Officer in a recognised health facility

21. RADIOGRAPHER

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to being a registered member of the Allied Health Professions Council and possessing a minimum of BSc. In Radiology (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a University accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board, with at least one (1) year post National Service working experience

22. RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS OFFICERS (CHAPLAINS)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or Islamic Studies (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University and must be an Ordained/Certified Minister or Imam in good standing of a Christian or Muslim denomination approved by any of the bodies listed below and must be ready to be released to the Ghana Police Service:

a. Ghana Catholic Secretariat;
b. The Christian Council of Ghana;
c. The Pentecostal Council of Ghana;
d. Other nationally recognized Christian body
e. The Office of the National Chief Imam;
f. The Office of the Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission;
g. Such similar nationally recognised Muslim body

23. SPECIALIZED NURSE (GRADUATE)

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 in addition to being a Registered General Nurse and having a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University and a qualification in any of the specialty listed below with at least two (2) years post qualification experience:

a. Critical Care;
b. ENT;
c. Peri-Operative;
d. Emergency Care;
e. Plastic and Burns;
f. Pediatrics;
g. Ophthalmic Nursing

24. TELECOMMUNICATION OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of BSc Telecommunication Engineering (at least Second Class Lower Division) from an accredited University in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience. Experience in Radio Communication will be an advantage.

25. TRANSPORT AND WORKSHOP OFFICERS

In addition to the general requirements, Applicant must be not more than 30 years by 1st January, 2018 and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) in BSc Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University in addition to at least two (2) years post working experience.

This is how to create an account:

i. enter the email address used in purchasing the Voucher;
ii. pick or choose any password which will be known to you alone and which you can remember;
iii. confirm the password; and
iv. verify the Voucher purchased by entering the Serial Number and PIN.

Submit your application by clicking on the GENERATE YOUR DECISION button to complete the first stage of the application process.
