Job Vacancy For Clinic Administrator



The University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry is inviting qualified applicants for appointment as Clinic Administrator for the University of Ghana Dental Clinic.

Summary Of Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will report to the Dean of the School. He/she would have oversight responsibility for the smooth administration of the Dental Clinic and contribute effectively to the financial management of the facility by:

• Planning, organising and directing activities and programmes at the Dental Clinic.
• Creating avenues to enhance income generating activities at the facility.
• Attending to correspondence, meetings and workshops.
• Supervising and directing the activities of dental and other support staff at the facility.
• Maintaining accurate records and data.
• Ensuring prudent management and utilisation of resources.
• Preparing and submitting periodic operational report of the facility.
• Developing and implementing plans and budgets.
• Maintaining clean and safe environment at all times.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and maintenance of quality standards.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance service delivery at the facility.
• Participating in operational research activities.
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Dean or Vice Dean.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Applicant must be a Health Services Administrator preferably with at least three (3) years satisfactory continuous service at that position.
• Applicant must hold BSc.Degree in Administration (Health service Option).
• Applicant must hold master's degree in a related field.
• Applicant must preferably be member of a recognized professional body.

Knowledge And Experience

The applicant must have:

• Clear evidence of managing schedules without supervision.
• Sound understanding of basic hospital procedures.
• Experience in customer service delivery.
• Sound understanding of patient rights and responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Ghana Health Service policies and operating procedures.
• Knowledge of health sector quality assurance.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Experience in policy and standard development.
