Job Purpose
To coordinate community mental health care throughout the country

Responsible/accountable to: The Director of the Technical Division of the Mental Health Authority

Functions

•   Shall coordinate the activities of regional and district coordinators of mental health committees of the Mental Health Authority
•   Shall hold meetings of the Coordinators in the Department
•   Shall tour the facilities and services under the Department
•   Shall receive monthly reports from the unit heads in the Department
•   Shall provide quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to the Director.
•   Shall organise annual review meetings
•   Shall advise the Director on Departmental issues

Duration of contract
A renewable term of four years

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Shall be a mental health worker with community and managerial experience and a minimum of ten years working experience
•   Should be an already serving officer on the payroll of the Ministry of Health
•   Should be able to complete a term of four years before retirement
