Scope And General Purpose

•   To assist in the direction and co-ordination of activities of the Security Department in accordance with all hotel regulations as well as the hotel business plan and budget.
•   To guarantee the safety of all guests, employees and hotel property, ensuring that hotel meets its financial and guest satisfaction objectives.
•   Assist in creating and coordinating trainings or anything related to employee development programs

Key  Performance Areas

•   Assist the Head of Security with direction on the operation of the Hotel.
•   Conduct tours of inspection of subordinate officers on duty.
•   Conduct shift meetings and review officers' reports.
•   Identify departmental training needs and schedule appropriate training in consultation with Head of Security.
•   Ensure adequate security in the Hotel during special events.
•   Supervise all activities at the Hotel which might have security or safety implications.
•   Serve on committees and panels when requested.
•   Assist with the revision of informational manuals and policies as needed (Department SOP, Emergency response).
•   Be able to prepare clear and concise reports of all accidents and incidents for management.
•   Ensure that all officers are updated with current cases in the Hotel.
•   Maintain a high level of security, by not divulging any information relating to the company's customers or the affairs, finances or matters pertaining to the company.
•   Have the ability to liaise with Ghana Police Service, Immigration Service, Airport Security and other security services in respect of protocol duties.
•   Ability to work for longer hours without supervision.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's Degree in a related field or must be an ex-service personnel not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police or 2nd lieutenant.

Skills/Requirements

•   Supervisory and/or administrative experience in the police/security/military.
•   Be able to respond calmly and quickly in stressful situations.
•   No convictions of a crime or domestic violence.
•   Ability to provide quality customer service daily as well as handle crisis efficiently and effectively.
•   Ability to get along with diverse personalities, must possess tact, maturity and good reasoning abilities.
•   Experience in a Similar position for not less than four(4) years.
•   Certificate in IT security solutions an advantage.
•   Excellent communication skills.
•   Persuasion and public speaking skills
•   A quick analytical mind and decisive skills
•   Good leadership skills.
•   A Self motivator and goal driven person
