Job Summary

•   The candidate will be responsible for performing discovery across the web to find valuable sites, resources and platforms that expose big data sets and API’s, which can be integrated into our cloud platforms and services. A strong knowledge of web search technologies, application trends, big data analytics and informatics is required.
•   The candidate will recommend and a weekly basis, new platforms and APIs discovered online, to be integrated into our cloud services.
•   The candidate must have the ability to configure and test APIs using various data sets and criteria to ensure quality and performance requirements are met.
•   The candidate must have good written and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively up the organization and with clients.
•   The candidate must work well with others on team projects and other company efforts.

Qualification Required & Experience

The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

•   Cloud platform architecture
•   Web crawler architecture and functionality
•   SAAS or SOA technologies using REST/SOAP, XML and JSON
•   Mobile application development and integration
•   Data analysis
•   Staying current with emerging data and technology trends
•   Manipulating big data sets online
•   Additional responsibilities will include writing shell scripts, code, testing, and supporting ongoing software development efforts using CURL, LAMP, JAVA, Java Script, AJAX and various software development technologies.
•   The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, bright and driven, with a strong desire to grow.
•   Hands on experience with JAVA, Linux, Shell Scripts, Databases such as Hadoop and MongoDB are extremely helpful.

Salary:  GH¢ 600
