Job Vacancy For M & E Coordinator At Plan Ghana (Koforidua)



Job Purpose

•   Supports and actively participates in routine monitoring and evaluation, and the dissemination of results for the SHOW project. Ensures those results are used in a way to improve the quality of the projects.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

•   Actively supports the development of gender focused MNCH data collection tools
•   Under the supervision of the M & E for local NGO partners
•   Ensures effective monitoring of routine project activities in line with project's M & E schedule and overall project implementation plans
•   Supports the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and partner LNGOs to design their annual work plans, facilities regular data collection from the field and ensures timely submission of data and reports to M & E Specialist and project manager respectively
•   Understands data quality management and periodically conducts data quality management and periodically conducts data quality audit on field data submitted by LNGO partners under the supervision of the M & E and health specialists
•   Regularly inputs (enters data in project M & E system and supports M & E specialist carry out routine data analysis
•   Puts in place a mechanism to document best practices and lessons learned from the implementation of the project. Organizing intermittent sessions to update project team on field issues regarding M&E
•   Incorporate best practices and lessons learned into project strategy and support LNGO partners to learn from these best practices and lessons

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Social science or other relevant field or equivalent
•   At least 3 years experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation or research position
•   Knowledge of maternal, neonatal and child health and the health sector would be in an advantage
•   At least 3 years working with INGOs and managing a donor funded project.
