Airport Clinic Limited, situated at the Kotoka International Airport, seeks applications from a suitably qualified, proactive and enthusiastic person to fill the under-mentioned vacancy: Medical Director

Key Performance Output

Under the supervision of the Chairman of the Board of Directors the successful applicant will be responsible for the following functions among others:

•   To devise and implement both short and long-term strategies for the clinic
•   To coordinate the day-to-day management of clinic
•   To organise, coordinate and monitor the activities of the medical staff and ensure that the quality and appropriateness of services meet the required standard
•   To monitor healthcare provision within the clinic through quality assurance programmes that encourage self-evaluation, anticipate and plan for change and meet regulations
•   To ensure quick response to emergencies and participate in decisions about the kind of emergency equipment and drug supplies
•   To analyse and evaluate the medical implications of the social, regulatory, political and economic changes that affect patient care
•   To monitor the clinic budget process to ensure the availability of resources for the smooth running of the clinic

Qualification Required & Experience

The applicant must have the following qualification:

•   Must possess a first degree in M.B, Ch.B
•   Postgraduate certificate in Public Health
•   Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council

Working Experience

•   Must have 2 to 7 years working experience as a medical officer and two(2) of those years must be in a managerial position

Technical Skills

Applicant must possess the following skills:

•   Good communication skills
•   Good management, administrative and organisation capabilities
•   Ability to work under pressure
•   Good time management for self and other employees
•   Must have people management skills
•   Good leadership qualities
•   Must be computer literate
