A reputable firm in the construction industry for oil and gas with projects in Takoradi invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant role: Hook Up Superintendent

Job Description

• The Hook Up superintendent is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within both the company and clients work sites and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices

• The Hook Up Superintendent is in charge of all hook up project technical preparation and on-board execution. He manages the fabrication team assigned to his project, the fabrication subcontractors and interface with all fabrication support divisions.

Onshore Responsibilities

• Job cards & work packs preparation/review and follow up
• Attend & participate ion constructability reviews with clients
• Participate in work site surveys & prepare survey reports
• Prepare requisition for subcontractor services
• Develop offshore planning & installation sequence based on job cards
• Review / preparation of project technical procedures
• Preparations of materials (project, tools and equipment) at onshore mobilisation base

Offshore Responsibilities

• Manage, lead and coordinate the project related activities
• Ensure teams are aware of project's quality and safety requirements
• Coordinate work as per the priorities given by the site management / planning
• Manage Project material
• Coordinate problems and solutions between site construction contractor and the design and field engineers
• Daily reporting and inspections on work in progress
. Reviewing and assisting in weekly progress meeting

Qualification Required & Experience

• Candidate must have a minimum of technical tertiary education, on the job training, relevant additional training or courses attended with at least 5 years experience similar position of Hook Up in previous job.
• He must also have significant experience of Hook Up activities in a contractor environment with good knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry

• Fluent in English
• Technical Experiences on steel works
• Conversant with Tensioning, hydro testing and E&E activities
• Basically aware of Non-Destructive Examination
• Health, safety and Environmental courses attended certificates added will be an advantage
