Job Vacancy For Logistic Coordinator



The Position:

The Logistic Coordinator, reporting to Local Manager and Operation Manager, is accountable for ensuring that the company’s inventories are available for our customers. This will be the key person to manage stock forecasts, customs clearance, imports/exports and any duty planning. There will be change in the nature and scope of the job duties as the Company grows and theposition will be expected to have a range of skills and a willingness to learn.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Handle import of products/goods into Ghana, including clearance and managing any tax exemptions
• Duty planning to ensure accurate landing costs and classification for products recorded
• Keep track of every stocks, delivery time, transport costs, meeting delivery to customers
• Work closely with accounting team to ensure any dues are paid on time for prompt delivery of products
• Manage the warehouse operations in the country
• Manage several teams, including Inbound, Inventory, Outbound and post-sales follow-up
• Plan warehouses and distribution centers for efficiency in both operations and capacity
• Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
• Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways
• Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
• Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low
• Maintain all the import/export related documents available for accounting team
• Prepare bi-weekly/monthly inventory count report to local manager & operation manager
• Coordinate with freight forwarder on any type of inventory movement
• Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualification Required & Experience

Qualifications and key attributes:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Proven experience of several years (5+ years) in Warehousing and/or Logistics
• Understand transportation and import regulations
• Excellent understanding of logistics systems in Ghana
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication skills and Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlights
• Detail oriented self-starter and ability to learn, Ability to work within a team and independently
