Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill a vacant post in the Office of Legislative Drafting and legal services in the Parliamentary Service: Marshal of Parliament

Job Summary

The Deputy Marshall is responsible for assisting the Marshal in:

• Regulating security, access and maintenance of order within the precincts of the House, including the Debating Chamber, Public Galleries, Committee rooms
• Management of housekeeping and usher services
• Ceremonial duties involving attendance on the speaker and the house

Qualification Required & Experience

• A first degree in any social science from a recognised university with at least 10 years of post qualification experience

Other Requirements

Applicant must have:

• Attained a rank not below that of a Captain in the Military or its equivalent
• Held a Senior Division Qualification in the Armed Forces or its equivalent
• A track record of leadership and good communication skills
• Excellent managerial skills and be computer literate
