Job Vacancy For Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (4 Positions Available) At Global Communities-Ghana (Tamale, Gushiegu and Bimbilla)



Global Communities (formerly CHF International) a Non-Governmental Organization is seeking experienced professionals to recruit to fill the positions below for the 5-year USAID funded RING project. This project will focus on local government capacity building, livelihood and nutrition promotion in the northern region of Ghana.  Each position is full time and covers 12 months per year over the life of the program.

Job Responsibilities

•   Organize Assist the M&E Specialist to implement the Performance Monitoring Plan; including gathering data from partner organisation responsible for field operations, analyzing data to track project indicators, preparing progress reports to satisfy reporting requirements;
•   Support the M&E Specialist/M&E team to establish and effectively roll out data capture tools and procedures to enable accurate and timely monitoring and reporting on all projects;
•   Train DA/ NRCC staff in use of monitoring tools and applications and propose any additional resources needed to complete the activities and assist in the monitoring of the local partners;
•   Travel to field sites to follow up independently with program beneficiaries;
•   Ensure accuracy and timelines of data entered in to Project Management Database (Program Tracker);
•   Collect quantitative and qualitative data including leading/conducting focus group discussions and key informant interviews;
•   Participate in discussions with government officials and representatives establish consistency in the use of indicator definitions and data sources;
•   Assist in developing and applying different M&E and learning methods (including monitoring systems, tools for data collection and analysis, evaluations and participatory reviews) and systems for using the learning in program decision-making to improve impact;
•   Work with the M&E Specialist/M&E team in ways to enhance learning from and between partner program evaluations and promote monitoring and evaluation systems, and sharing experience/learning;

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of first degree in Social Sciences or related discipline.
•   Candidate should have completed his/her National Service.
•   Minimum of 1 year relevant working experience with commensurate responsibility (preferably with an INGO or development agency).
•   Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office Suite
•   Experience with statistical packages (i.e. SPSS or STATA).
•   Familiarity with and ability to use modern office equipment (scanner, photocopier, projector, etc.)
•   Strong writing  and public presentation skills
