A reputable Financial Institution (non-bank) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals to fill the following position: Motor Surveyor

Duties

•   Inspect damaged motor vehicles to determine the cause, nature and extent of damage to same
•   Liaise with vehicle repair workshops/garages on how damaged vehicles will be repaired and to determine the associated repair costs
•   Liaise with vehicle repair workshops/garages to ensure that agreed repair works have been carried out on the vehicles
•   Conduct market surveys to verify prices of spare parts and vehicles
•   Vet and revise vehicle repair estimates and submit reports for claim settlement negotiations
•   Advise on technical issues relating to motor vehicles
•   Prepare and submit reports on the above-stated matters
•   Perform any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must have a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering / City and Guilds Full Technology Certificate (ie. Technician Certificate Parts I-II)
•   Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the field of vehicle inspection and repairs

•   Must be able to work for long hours with little or no supervision
•   Must be passionate about the job, be results oriented, possess a high level of professional and personal integrity
•   Must be computer literate and have excellent data management skills
•   Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•   Must have the capacity to work under pressure and travel outside place of work on short notices
•   Must have excellent report writing skills

Age Limit: Applicant must be between the ages of 30 - 40 years and must be energetic
