Job Vacancy For M&E Officer



We are currently seeking M&E Officer to be based in the Sunyani Office for a multi-year USAID-funded project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: M&E Officer to be based in the Sunyani office:

Responsibilities:

•   Plays a key role in the capture and the use of both explicit knowledge (available from data gathered and recorded for monitoring and reporting) and tacit knowledge (that held internal to an individual) for organizational learning and decision making, and to information flow between staff at all levels.
•   Works closely with the technical team to ensure that they document all data (both qualitatively and quantitatively) in line with the program's M&E framework and guideline for tracking the transformation process and ensures that all such data and information is posted correctly.
•   Enters monitoring data into project database and perform regular data quality checks and takes necessary corrective action to ensure that data input into the ADVANCE MIS database is accurate.
•   Conduct preliminary analysis of data on a monthly and quarterly basis to identify trends and whether regional targets are being met or not.
•   Undertakes field visits and participates in project events to directly observe project progress and interact with beneficiaries to get a better understanding of the picture presented from monitoring data collected, noting changes not explicitly covered project performance monitoring plan.
•   Coordinates baseline, midterm and final evaluations with support from project team for the respective area of operation. responsible for the collection and interpretation of information gathered and ensures that all information is collected in a valid, reliable and timely manner.
•   Contributes to the preparation of the annual implementation plan with the M&E Team and uses it to monitor and report on results.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First degree or equivalent in a pertinent field (e.g Sociology, Development studies, Agriculture, economics, agribusiness and Statistics)
•   Minimum of 5 years experience in data collection and data entry.
•   High level knowledge/skills Microsoft Office applications, SQL and SPSS.
•   Strong interpersonal skills and ability to transfer knowledge to others.
•   Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
