The Council of the Garden City University College (GCUC), Kenyase, Kumasi, announces for the information of the general public and interested candidates that the position of President, GCUC would be vacant with effect from August 1, 2018.

The Position

• The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the University College and shall be responsible, in accordance with the statutes of the University college and decisions of council and the academic board for organising and conducting the academic, financial and administrative business of the University college.

The Person

The candidate seeking appointment as the President must:

• Be of professional status in a University or its equivalent in a Research Institute
• Be a distinguished scholar
• Exhibit leadership qualities and organizational skills
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the capacity to manage and control crisis situations
• Be sober with maturity and drive for sound and impartial judgment
• Be visionary, business-oriented and able to establish rapport between industry and the University college for a common purpose
• Have the capacity to raise funds and other resources for research and development activities of the university college
