Job Purpose

• Responsible for planning, directing and managing the administrative task and supervising all students including teaching and non-teaching staff in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the school

Reporting to: Chief Manager (Human Resource and Administrative Services)

Key Accountabilities

• Provide input for development of strategies, policies and procedures for the effective and efficient management of the school
• Play a lead role in implementing discipline in the school
• Provide constructive feedback based on teaching and assessment practices
• Ensure the the development curriculum within the school are consistent with the schools objectives and retention strategies
• contribute as a key player to the school's management team (Teaching and Non-Teaching staff) in it's planning, implementation, monitoring and review of strategic and operational plans
• contribute to the formation and implementation of plans for development of staff in areas relevant to taught programmes
• Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the school
• Provide leadership in times of crisis and layout visions for the future of the school
• Responsible for all the administrative issues in the school
• Prepare, implement and monitor for annual budget for the school and other secretarial services

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelors degree in Technical education, Administration, school counseling and related field
• A post-graduate qualification in Technical education is an added advantage
• A minimum of 10 years teaching in a recognised school
• Applicant must be an Assistant Principal with at least 3 years on the grade

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience and commitment of academic leadership and management
• Understanding of issues relating to the effective management of schools
• In-depth knowledge of research methods ad strong analytical skills
• Adaptable to change
• Team player with a cooperative approach to teaching and non-teaching staff
• Excellent at oral and written communication
• Passionate about connecting with students
• Knowledge in strategic planning and financial management
• Solid communication and problem solving skills
• Very good interpersonal skills
• Very good skills in identifying problems and brainstorming potential solutions

Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 40 years old
