Job Vacancy For Project Field Officer At Marie Stopes International (Tamale)



The Project Field Officer will promote MSIG objective of averting maternal mortality by enhancing quality access to family planning services for underserved people in the Northern Region through Ghana Health Service outlets as well as manage the relationships between MSIG and its private partners. The Project Field Officer shall perform tasks critical to the success of MSIG activities in Tamale. These include; ensuring quality standards, training of outlets, prospecting for leads with the Ghana Health Service and also managing the network of both public and private health providers and outlets. The Project Field officer will work closely and collaboratively with other teams and report to the Regional Manager. The post is based in Tamale and requires frequent field work.

Key responsibilities

•   Undertake regular quality assurance visits to all DKT recruited pharmacy outlets
•   Develop, implement and monitor plans to improve clients' access to quality post abortion family planning services.
•   Identify and recruit new Bluestar Social Franchises by mapping and assessing the eligibility of private clinics, maternity homes, pharmacies and chemical sellers against defined criteria.
•   Develop and implement strategies to improve overall accessibility of MSIG core services in franchised outlets with targeted strategies that improve accessibility by young people
•   Develop strong relationships with key project partners including Ghana Health Service (GHS) at the regional and district level as well as local community leaders and other partners identified over the course of implementation.
•   Facilitate community entry in targeted communities and maintain good relationships with community leaders in collaboration with Communication and Marketing team
•   Conduct monitoring visits to youth project activities in the region and submit reports of such visits

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Social Sciences/ Development Studies or related qualification.

Experience/Skills
The candidate must have;

•   At least 3 years post national service experience in
•   social marketing and /NGO field coordination
•   Experience in client relationship management
•   Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing
•   Ability to communicate effectively
•   Analytical and results oriented
•   Must be pro-choice
