Job Vacancy For Supply Chain Manager



Elidel Prestige Limited is recruiting on behalf of a leading corporation in the Oil and Gas sector. Qualified personnel will manage the operations of the Supply Chain division in Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide sourcing and contracting support for Drilling & Completion activities
• Negotiate legal and commercial terms to achieve optimal business results
• Lead in the development of Local Content plans and initiatives with the respective departments to identify and deliver such opportunities through contracts and procurement activities
• Ensure a cordial business relationship between the industry regulator and company in the implementation of the local content regulation (LI2204) and all necessary compliance requirement in the supply chain
• Evaluate proposals with business partner to identify the best solution instead of the ideal technical solution or lowest price
• Identify key contract risks and the associated mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with legislative regulations and corporate policies and procedures
• Work with business partners to understand business needs/requirements and define GSC services needed to address these needs/requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, keeping them fully informed of changes to specification/terms of service with a particular supplier/contractor
• Develop working relationships that motivate suppliers/contractors to deliver required level of service and to facilitate the speedy and effective resolution of issues, as needed
• Apply industry knowledge and use available tools to offer alternative approaches/solutions where other "fit for purpose" options do not exist
• Plan and schedule work activities, within prescribed parameters
• Promote innovation and continual process improvement

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum 8 years experience
• A degree or equivalent in an Supply Chain discipline
• Professional qualification from CIPS, UK is a plus
• Significant experience in contract and procurement management is required, preferably within exploration and production drilling support activities
• A strong contracting background, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
• Knowledge and application of contracting strategies, risk analysis and principles of contract law and various compensation models
• Ability to negotiate and execute various contract types including: Long Term "Call-Off" Agreement, consulting, Equipment and materials lease agreements etc
• Possess a robust understanding of financial indicators and ability to perform sound economic analysis (e.g. ROI, cash flow analysis, lease vs buy, micro economics)
• Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft applications, good knowledge and familiarity ERP systems
• Ability to perform under pressure and to adjust to changing priorities
• Demonstrates strong organisation/time management and prioritization skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
