Job Purpose:

•   Under the general supervision of the WASH Specialist, responsible for coordinating monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tasks, processes and outputs across UNICEF Ghana WASH programming.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•   Ensure the country WASH team has a well-prioritized and structured IMEP system in place
•   Gather data from WASH sector leads for data analysis and evaluation
•   Provide technical support to implementing partners and UNICEF WASH stuff on WASH related M&E with respect to data gathering and analysis.
•   Ensure clear communication between WASH and M&E department on plans, roles and responsibilities.
•   Develop training materials for capacity building of Implementation Partners (IPs) on the use of WASH M&E tools and other related areas.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree in engineering, public health, social science, statistics or in a related field.
•   Professional/training qualifications on the use of M&E tools and techniques including
•   Database software and tools
•   Digital data gathering techniques
•   Data analysis software

Work Experience:

•   A minimum of 2 years progressively responsible work experience in WASH or M&E fields (overlapping responsibilities are an asset)
•   Proven experience of writing good quality evaluation reports and concise evaluation summaries
•   Establish networks within the WASH and M&E sectors in Ghana.
•   Experience of developing training materials and delivering to a diverse group of participants

Language Proficiency

•   Fluency in English required.
•   Knowledge of local working language of the duty station and another UN working language is an asset.
