REPORTS TO: GROUP MANAGER

MAIN DUTIES

• Coordinates, supervises and monitors daily activities of all staff and ensures that all operating data are properly recorded and documented.
• Ensures that the system is operating properly and water flowing at all times in compliance with national prescribed guidelines and standards.
• Submits monthly operating statistics and general correspondence to the system management teams and Regional Group Manager.
• Advises the system management teams on all technical and financial matters and also assists them to prepare periodic reports to the • Regional Group Manager on community (ies) and district assembly.
• Ensures that office records are properly completed and filed for easy retrieval.
• Completes applications for private connections and forwards same to system management teams and Regional Group Manager.
• Arranges for periodic repairs and maintenance of all aspects of the water system.
• Prepares schedules for water quality testing and submits same to Regional Group Manager.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must have

• A Degree from a recognized University, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, Geological Engineering or Management or Administration with minimum of two (2) years relevant post-Bachelor’s work experience, including National Service.

OR

• Alternatively, a minimum of Higher National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with not less than four (4) years’ post-qualification industrial experience.
• Good understanding of ‘WASH’ management and challenges.
• Demonstrable proficiency in the use of computers with ability to present reports in at least ‘Word’ and ‘Excel’.
• Satisfactory performance at a selection interview.
