Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with relevant qualification/s and experience to occupy the under-listed position/s in the organisation. MSIG's goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International's global partnership, which operates in over 37 countries worldwide.

Job Summary

The Business Advisor (BA) will work closely with the Project Coordinator and relevant Officers to provide Business Support to the partnership members. The BA will be responsible for facilitating Business Training of participating franchisees to ensure their future sustainable, and will work to coordinate the business areas of the other aspects of the organisation (Safecare) assessments and improvement plans. The BA will also be responsible for providing technical and administrative support for business performance improvement processes. The Business Advisor will report directly to the Head of Social Franchise and AHME.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the members in the business performance and quality improvement process of the programme
• Prepare and facilitate training in business development for participating facilities in line with Global Social Franchise business training and support tools
• Develop dashboards that enable analysis and feedback of key financial data and forecasting to franchisees to assist facilities to be bankable and financially sound
• Assist facilities willing to access credit, term loans and receiables financing to complete required financial documentation for BlueStar clinics
• Assess Bluestar clinic business performance and work with Bluestar network to develop business plans to address identified gaps
• Liaise and work closely with the Lead Business Manager, regarding the approval and progress of loans
• Develop and deliver weekly progress reports, propoosals, requirement documentation and presentations to the Project Coordinator and Head of Social Franchise
• Coordinate with all relevant others/managers in identifying business training needs and organise relevantr support where needed

Qualification Required & Experience

• BSc Business Administration of equivalent qualification
• 7 years post qualification experience inclusive of at least 3 years in a senior management position
• 2 years management experience in the health sector
• Experience of working with the private sector or in a business/banking sector
• Outstanding written, strong verbal communication and facilitation skills
• Willingness and ability to do field work and interact with communities
• Work experience with an International Non-governmental organisation
• Financial analytical, strong planning and computer skills, including use of tablet and database/web applications
• Strong business proposal writing skills and commitment to an output and performance-based working style
• Strong coordination and advocacy skills, articulate and analytical with great attention to detail
• Entrepreneutrial mind-set and able to work on own initiative and motivate others to achieve results
• Innovative, Initiative, drive, self-motivator, team player and able to motivate others to achieve results
• Able to work with clinics that are not yet developed but with inclination to help improve and be pro-choice

This is a local position. Interested Non-Ghanaians must therefore have the necessary legal permits required to work in Ghana
