Qualification Required & Experience

•   A first degree in Accounting from a reputable University with 3 5 years’
•   Working experience in a similar industry will be an advantage.

Skills and Specification

•   Detail-oriented, conscientious, ethical and self-driven
•   Team working spirit with the interpersonal skills to establish and maintain the required effective working relationship
•   Good knowledge on SAP Business One ERP is mandatory.

Job Description

•   Assist the financial Accountant in the preparation of capital expenditure budget and other budgets for the company.

•   Supervise all asset valuation/revaluation works including WIPs.
•   Assist the financial accountant in capital allowance computations and submit same to the relevant authorities.
•   Any other duties to be assigned by supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of a University Degree in Accounting from a recognised University or its equivalent qualification or Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA/ICA Level 2)
•   At least three years full-time industry experience.
•   Must be computer literate.
•   Experience in Hospitality Accounting is an advantage.

The Government of Ghana was declared eligible for a poverty reduction grant from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (“MCC”), a United States Government Agency. In connection therewith, the Government submitted Concept Papers to MCC, and after a successful outcome of due diligence, and the availability of funds, has resulted in a Compact between the Government and MCC pursuant to which MCC would provide a five-year, multimillion dollar poverty reduction grant to the Government of Ghana (a “Compact”). The Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) will be responsible for the management of the implementation of the Compact. Subject to the terms and conditions of the Compact, related agreements, and the availability of funds, the Government intends to use a portion of the funds provided through the Compact to procure professional personnel in MiDA to assist the Government with the management and implementation of the Compact programme in a transparent, timely, effective, efficient, results-oriented and fiscally sound manner.

Job Description

•   Reports to Finance / Budget Manager
•   Assist the Finance/ Budget Manager (FBM) in all accounting and record keeping.
•   Assist in the processing of payments for staff salaries and any other expenses from accounts of MiDA.
•   Assists the CFO in the preparation of MiDA’s annual Programme budget for the entire Compact period, as well as detailed budgets on a quarterly basis in coordination with the Project Management unit, Fiscal Agent, and any Implementing Entities. Also assist in the development of the operating budget for the MiDA.
•   Develop quarterly reports, detailed financial plans and quarterly disbursement requests for funding from MCC (all part of the quarterly reporting process), hi coordination with the Fiscal Agent.
•   Provide quarterly information to M&E and Economics Director on contracts and financial disbursements needed by M&E to track Compact process milestones and timeline/completion risks.
•   Assist the CFO, in coordination with the Project Managers, in estimating the future commitment and cash flow requirements for each Project for each period, and ensure that all accompanying reports are delivered according to the required schedule.
•   Monitor expenses against budgets to ensure adequate resources and control of funds.
•   Cooperate fully with the auditors to ensure that the auditing requirements of the program are satisfied as required by the Compact.
•   Assist the CFO in developing and managing all programme accounting reports, including special reports required by the MiDA or the Board of Directors.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A university degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance; preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
•   Approximately five (5) or more years of professional experience, including at least three (3) years in a financial management position of a project or company having an annual budget of more than $3 million USD or as an auditor in a public accounting firm.
•   Proven skills and experience, especially, in financial management related activities.
•   Ability to develop complex budgets and manage all related financial transactions.
•   Experience in financial management systems and processes.
•   Advanced computer skills in email, word processing, spreadsheets, the Internet, and familiarity with Management Information Systems,
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
