Purpose of the Position:

To Assist the Finance Manager to ensure recording, entry and processing of financial transactions and generation of timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with institutions financial policies, procedures, controls and generally accepted accounting principles,to provide leadership and direct support to the Finance Manager in the day to day management of the Department and serve as the most senior in his/her absence.

Major Responsibilities

•   To ensure that all financial transactions comply with the Organizations financial control, policies and procedures by organizing accounting policies, procedures and processes in line with standard accounting practices
•   Keep proper records, timely preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual Consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statement, Portfolio, Outreach, Impact and Ratios Reports and analysis of data
•   Supervise preparation of statutory annual reports, tax filings and other local regulatory requirements such as monthly returns to Ghana Revenue Authority (P.A.Y.E and Withholding Tax), Tier 1 contributions to Social Security and National Insurance Trust and Tier 2 to selected Trustee and to keep records of same among others or other related field
•   Professionally Qualified Accountant, knowledge in Auditing would be an advantage

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University degree in B.com or Accounting or other related field
•   Professionally Qualified accountant; knowledge in Auditing would be an advantage

Experience

•   Prolonged experience in managing related fields
•   At least with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience at supervisory or managerial position
•   Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
•   Must be committed and active Christian
•   Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity
•   Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organisation Ideals and Core Values
•   Be proficient in Micro Soft office applications
•   Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
•   Very good communication and negotiation skills
