Main Responsibilities

•   Perform driving duties
•   Refer to the safety and operations checklists to be followed for any vehicle assigned
•   Ensure that Insurance and road worthy processes are done regularly
•   Ensure regular maintenance is carried out by designated service provider
•   Provide timely delivery and pick-up to and from designated locations.
•   Complete all documentation associated with delivery and pickup of documents in a timely and accurate manner and obtains signatures.
•   Perform basic maintenance and care of assigned vehicle
•   Perform regular inspections to insure that all required safety and preventative maintenance measures have been executed and documented.
•   Maintain work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition
•   Any other duties that shall from time to time be assigned to you.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of a SSSCE/WASSCE and / or an acceptable technical qualification in mechanics plus a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
•   Be able to maintain confidentiality of company business
•   Excellent organisational and communication skills (Verbal and written)
•   Have a neat appearance always
•   Self-assured with good interpersonal skills
•   Have a valid driving licence

Job Summary

JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. Reporting Relationship
The Project Driver reports to the Admin Officer based in Tamale Ghana, who will make regular reports and/or appraisals to the Home Office regarding performance of the driver.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•   Reporting to the Admin Officer, the driver is responsible for driving and maintaining the
•   assigned vehicle and providing operational/logistics support to the projects. Drive office vehicles as per traffic rules of Ghana, assist in arranging pick-ups. .Report vehicle faults for prompt action to ensure that vehicle is always in good running condition.  Arrange Brown Cards/Insurance for driving to neighbouring countries
•   Undertake official errands, such as banking, distribution of cheques,
•   Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Completion of Senior High school, possession of a valid and clean Ghanaian Driving License, good
•   interpersonal /communication skills are required. Fully fluent in English (Written and spoken)
•   Minimum 5 years proven experience, experience working with an NGO will be an added advantage.
