Objective

•   Serve as the first point of contact for customers requiring maintenance or repair works on their vehicles, trucks and equipment

Job Knowledge

•   Manage the service reception, book vehicles in and out of the workshops as well as advice customers on the work required or progress made on their vehicles
•   Liaise with the workshop supervisor on the preparation of paperwork of all vehicles, trucks and equipment under repairs
•   Assist in undertaking quality control checks on all vehicles and equipment leaving the workshops
•   Provide continuous feedback on communications for customer retention

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering with good report writing & computing skills
•   Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role will be a distinct advantage

Objective

•   Responsible for the achievement of the set sales budgets by providing leadership in staff management and evaluation. Allocating resources in the ordering, inventory management and sales of various range of spare parts
•   Provide a convenient work environment, optimising the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees and a strong customer service focus

Job Knowledge

•   Establish and complete the parts sales target, review and approve the parts storage plan, and control the risks of accounts receivables
•   Management of an accurate and effective parts inventory control system and return policy, supervising the parts in/out warehousing procedure and be in charge of the warehouse inventory check results
•   Establish and implement the customer visit plan, verifying the customers feedback, and improve the service

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree or higher qualification in an engineering related discipline
•   Minimum of 5 years experience working in a management position within a sales, service or spare parts department of a motor vehicle dealership
•   Previous experience in conducting on-going annual physical inventory of all parts and related inventories and monitoring of stock losses and variances, taking corrective action as required
•   Experience in monitoring the rotation of stock on hand & determining deterioration

•   Direction of the work on the shop floor, proper allocation of work and oversight of various assignments of produce desired results within set time limits or parameters

Job Knowledge

•   Develop, deploy and ensure compliance with workshop management procedures to maintain the efficiency and value of the maintenance services provided by the workshop
•   Plan, liaise with the service advisors weekly to confirm the status of truck availability and prioritise works to ensure service is delivered on time and to the required standard, taking into account lead times for parts, labour hours required & transportation to site
•   Ensure that all trucks are efficiently serviced and repaired within the manufacturer’s recommendations and that all activities relating to the service and maintenance of trucks, charging of labour to projects, and recharges are raised, processed accurately and closed daily
•   Constantly review the workshop runing costs and identify opportunities for reducing or recharging workshop costs
•   Utilising the life to date reports to make recommendations to the manager as to each tool/equipments future e.g disposal or upgrade and make recommendations for improvements or additions where necessary
•   Stock appropriate levels of critical and consumable spares required to maintain the efficiency of the trucks that visit the workshop

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND or Higher qualification in Mechanical engineering or related field
•   5 years minimum experience as a Technician/Mechanic in supervisory capacity
•   Experience in plant hire or construction industry with a proactive approach to work
