Job Summary

Major Accountabilities
• Among other duties, receive and execute instructions and decisions from the Technical Manager
• Plan and co-ordinate preventive maintenance activities for all Rolling Stock equipment including company vehicles.
• Monitoring preventive maintenance activities to achieve maximum availability of equipment and the reduction in maintenance cost of all Rolling Stock.
• Actively promote safety culture and safety awareness at all times and ensures a safe workplace policy.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must have a BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
• Must have a minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in the Mechnical Maintenance and repair activities and evaluation of relevant equipment and machinery
• Good knowledge in Hydraulics, Engines & Transmissions, trouble shooting and repairs
• Must have very good working knowledge of techniques and methods employed in maintenance and repair of rolling stock or similar equipment
• Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering Drawings and Designs.
• Must have initiative, possess drive, be able to work under pressure and able to meet strict deadlines
• Must have fair managerial skills to manage labour and equipment
• Must be willing and capable of working long and odd hours.
