Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the best practice in financial, human resources & administrative management of the Hotel in order to maximize efficiency and growth

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

•   Prepare annual budgets and strategic plans in conjunction with the relevant input from Managers and Shareholders.
•   Prepare Annual Financial statements and completion of year end reporting requirements in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures and International standards
•   Preparation of income and expenditure reports as well as profit and loss reports
•   Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flows and board reports
•   Assist the General Manager in respect of commercial and operating decisions which include contracts, review of trading activities timely report, insurance issues and capital expenditure decisions with relevant management.
•   Provide leadership to and monitor the performance of the financial team.
•   Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Human Resource function
•   Develop and implement effective manpower strategies that would improve people management and promote general organisational effectiveness of the Hotel
•   Ensure HR policies and procedures are in place and adhered to
•   Handle recruitment, training, employee relations as well as managing grievance, discipline and health and safety issues,
•   Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the hotel.
•   Any other duties assigned by the General Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must be a Chartered Accountant, MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
•   Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar position
•   Payroll and human resources skills required
•   Understanding of auditing procedures
•   Computer literate, with IT knowledge in a Hotel environment
•   Must be strategically focused
•   Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•   High sense of Integrity and confidentiality
•   Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and tax legislation

The will manage all of B-BOVID’s administrative tasks, as well as one support staff member who will act as an accounts and administration assistant.

The Finance and Administration manager will also have various HR responsibilities, including recruitment, training and the management of a staff incentive program.

Job Summary

•   Job Title: Finance Officer
•   Reports to: Deputy Finance Manager

Purpose
Support Operation and Finance Office and to ensure proper documentation /filing, real time transaction processing and accurate data entry at all times.

FINANCIAL RECORDING

•   Responsible for the write up of Disbursement and Receipt Vouchers
•   Responsible for recording of the proper codes of all transactions.
•   Filing of all receipts and disbursement vouchers.
•   Check and Verify Petty Cash Transactions for Cheque reimbursement.
•   Responsible for data entry of all Accra financial Transactions and placement on terminal server immediately vouchers are approved.
•   Ensure all refunds are duly banked by cashier and reconcile on staff records

CASHIERING DUTIES

•   Follow up on receipt and recording of cash submitted to the office.
•   Follow upon collection and banking of all cash receipts by the admin assistant.
•   Responsible for preparing wire transfer details, preliminaries in online payment, and write up and issue of cheques.
•   Custodians of all signed cheques and other value books.
•   Interact with Bank for Cash transfers, confirmation of payments and serving as first point of contact for bank enquiries
•   keep/ maintain accurate records for the CPs Dollar Operating Cash on Hand

DOCUMENTATION /FILING

•   Maintain up to date files for all financial records in a well-organized, logical and pre-determined indexed manner for easy retrieval
•   Lead the organization of sufficient appropriate documents to be attached to all payment and Cash Disbursement Vouchers
•   Coordinate all financial files retrieval requests and archive maintenance on consistence basis.
•   Assist in maintaining Payroll information files and coordinate relevant payroll information for Accra based staff on consistent basis.

STATUTORY COMPLIANCE

•   Responsible for the monthly filing and payment of withholding tax from Accra office transactions.
•   Act as a liaison in pursuant of the monthly statutory returns and allied transactions.

OTHERS

•   Review travel advance liquidations and outstanding balances for all travel request that will pass through desk. Management of voucher and stationery stocks for finance unit.
•   Filing(hard and electronic)
•   Ensuring that all required reports and files are placed on the terminal server during month end close.
•   Analyze balances and payments made on all utilities.
•   Follow up on Accra  staff outstanding travel and short term advances  to ensure its liquidation
•   Any other duties that may be assigned by Deputy Finance Manager or supervisor.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or its equivalent professional qualification with one year post qualification experience in a similar position.
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills
•   Proven knowledge of standard software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
