Job Summary

The Package

•   The position is based in Accra with some level of domestic/international travel.

Key Responsibilities

•   Design and deliver customized training programs and tools for line managers and staff on effective performance management.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   MBA or Masters in Human Resource Development, Management or equivalent experience in the training and development field.

•   Membership in any HR Professional body is advantage.

•   Hands on experience in the development of performance management tools and Managing Performance System

The successful applicant will:

•   Be responsible to the Director-General for the general administration of the Head Office and the entire CSIR.

•   Be the custodian of Council assets.
•   Be Secretary to Council.

Age Limit: The applicant must be 55 years or less.
Tenure: The position is for five (5) years in the first instance, and may be renewed on expiry if the incumbent is less than 60 years, subject to satisfactory performance on the job. In exceptional cases applicants who will be able to serve for four(4} years in the first instance may be considered for positions 3 and 4 above.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Possess an MBA/MPA/MPhil degree or equivalent with specialisation in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution.
•   Have 12 years post-qualification experience in performing human resource functions in a reputable institution including at least 5 years of successful managerial experience in a top management position.
•   Have attained a rank equal to that of a Principal Administrative Officer in the CSIR or equivalent institution, or a Deputy Registrar in a public university.
•   Member of a relevant recognised professional body.
•   Posses excellent knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws.
•   Posses good interpersonal skills.

Reporting Relationship

Responsibilities

•   Prepare a variety of status reports including weekly activity, closing, follow-ups, special developments, information, feedback gathered, sales calls planning and implementation, and monthly sales analysis on the portfolio.
•   Ensure quality line up of topics in line with market trends and requirements for the course programmes.
•   Select facilitators and coordinate as appropriate on the design and delivery of programmes with chosen faculty and facilitators.
•   Responsible for monitoring attendance of participants to ensure conformity to the required minimum lecture hours for certification.
•   Review and evaluate facilitation modules and certifications.
•   Build, maintain and prepare client data, in an individual database with complete profiles on customer information, calls to action, sources and dates.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of a master’s degree in business administration or relevant course from a reputable university or related area.
•   Must have a background in marketing and/or human resource management.
•   Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ post masters qualification working experience.
