Duties & Responsibilities

•   Conducting research on the financial markets
•   Pitching for new clients and meeting clients
•   Monitoring of clients’ investments
•   Setting and scheduling conference calls for deal team
•   Putting together and writing of investment proposals for clients pitching purposes
•   presentation of investment opportunities to management and or board of directors for purposes of pitching of new clients
•  determine and advice whether a project or investment is viable and attractive

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Appropriate and relevant qualification and extensive sales or investment experience of not less than 3 years
•   Able to cope with stress, have excellent self-control, and demonstrate sales ability, enthusiasm and enterprise.
•   A perfect grasp of English
•   Team player with business experience and  capacity to interact at all levels
•   Strong editorial skills to write reports, project or investment proposals

Object Of The Position:

To undertake research to provide information and investment ideas to Fund Managers to enable the Authority make decisions relating to the investment portfolios they manage/regulate.

Duties & Responsibilities

•   Develop an understanding of financial information on Company Accounts, Pension Data, Statistics, Economics and Relevant Political Events
•   Analyze financial information relating to specific companies example, company results, profit and loss and cash flow statements
•   Keep up to date with market development, new products, and all other areas that can affect the markets
•   Monitors financial news using specialist media sources
•   Writes research reports and provides investment ideas for clients/stakeholders/donors
•   Ensures the compliance with statutory requirements and other regulations
•   Maintains regular communication with Fund Managers, Trustees and Custodians
•   Makes presentations and recommendations as to which instruments should be included in Fund Managers portfolios

Qualification Required & Experience

Person Specification

•   Must have a master’s degree in a relevant field of study
•   A degree in Finance / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics/ Accounting
•   A post-graduate qualification in Finance would be an advantage
•   Experience in a similar position would be highly beneficial
•   Strong financial analytical background
•   Effective communication and interpersonal skills
•   Must be computer literate especially word

Reports to: Head of Investments

Job Summary:
Facilitate, monitor and ensure compliance of company’s funds and fund managers’ activities and assist to develop strategies to deepen the Venture Capital and Private Equity Industry in Ghana.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

•  Conduct due diligence, evaluate and appraise proposals for potential funding in selected strategies
•  Monitor the compliance of fund managers’ activities
•  Conduct general research on trends and opportunities within private equity/venture capital and selected sectors of the economy where investments are being made. Monitor financial news using specialist media sources and keeping up to date with market development, new investment products and all other areas that can affect markets
•  Coordinate and collect reports and data from stakeholders and generate interpretative reports for consideration by management
•  Work with investment team to identify, create and manage all tools necessary to support and improve business processes
•  Prepare presentation and recommendation as to which fund should be included in fund managers’ portfolios
•  Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by Head of Investments

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A first degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics or Business Administration or its equivalent
•  Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
•  The technical competencies required including strong creativity, analytical skills, management and leadership abilities, excellent planning ability, and problem-solving skills with firm focus on speed, quality and use of initiative
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaborative relationship building capabilities is required
•  Must be a quick learner with an ownership attitude accompanied by high integrity and professionalism
•  Strong skills in excel and PowerPoint
