Job Purpose

•   To implement the Bank’s Information Technology strategy and ensure that the Bank has the appropriate IT Infrastructure to effectively support the achievement of its objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities/Duties

•   Direct the design, development and implementation of the Bank’s IT Strategy and Core Banking Solution.
•   Direct and oversee all IT /Business Solutions related projects to ensure that they are delivered and deployed cost effectively.
•   Oversee and maintain a secured IT platform for the entire banking operations ensuring appropriate IT Controls are implemented and maintained.
•   Ensure that all IT systems are implemented and maintained to required standards.
•   Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
•   Ensure that IT systems and procedures promote data and bank information security and business continuity.
•   Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
•   Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
•   Manage telecommunications infrastructure development plans and projects.
•   Manage IT Vendor relations.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
•   Master’s degree in Information Technology
•   IT Certification in Project Management or Business Solutions Deployment
•   Minimum of eight (8) years experience in information technology, with at least 4 years in a senior IT role in the Banking Industry.
•   Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the banking industry.
•   Experience in delivering major business or technology programs.
•   Prior experience engaging with Technology vendors

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

•   Knowledge of IT Project Management
•   Detailed understanding of Banking Operations / Process reengineering
•   Ability to identify requirements
•   Understanding of IT Security Systems, Networking and Database management
•   Knowledge of IT Systems monitoring tools

Purpose of the position:

•   As a strategic role, the Unit Head is expected to lead a team to develop and manage a portfolio of small and medium business clients.
•   The Business Unit will focus on delivering 3 both financial and social performance results according to VFG Standards.

Major Responsibilities:

•   Develop annual Business plans and implement strategies to grow the Business unit.
•   Identify risks associated with Small & Medium Businesses and implement mitigating measures
•   Coordinate and oversee the 5MB client technical assistance programme, including coordinating training sessions and the mentorship programme
•   Oversee the collection of financial, social, and environmental performance data, and responsible for reporting the data to World Vision Canada
•   Communicates business plan targets to Client Relationship Managers
•   Works to enforce timely and evenly spread disbursements of loans throughout the month (using weekly targets, volume rankings, and other relevant tools)
•   Coordinates Service Centre support to the performance of the unit.
•   Monitor the development of arrears at individual Client Relationship Manager levels and recommend the implementation of mitigating solutions
•   Design, plan, and implement the Performance Standard Tool for CRM
•   Take the lead in organising CRM quarterly reviews
•   Organise trainings on suitable topics for Unit staff
•   Represent 5MB Unit in relevant trainings

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Any Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the position
•   Outstanding Software and Hardware Skills-
•   Analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to detail – core capability
•   Three years of working experience in IT field: System Administration, Database Administration, Management Information Systems and IT Security; etc
•   Minimum of 2 years in Technology Management Capacity
•   Thorough understanding of IT Infrastructure, planning and development

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experiences:

•   Network Topology and Configuration, including core security and communication principles
•   Server monitoring, troubleshooting and report generating
•   Knowledge in Accounting and Microfinance
