BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

•   The IRC Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for Embassy visual diplomacy records retention and program productions.
•   The incumbent shall be responsible for organizing the section’s extensive photo files; creatively employing graphic design skills for various print and online publications; and serving as the Point of Contact (POC) for the technical aspects of all webchats and video conferences.
•   In addition, the incumbent shall be responsible for receiving, storing, and conducting inventory on all IRC equipment and educational materials.
•   The incumbent shall possess interpersonal skills to be able to back up the IRC Outreach Coordinator.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

•   EDUCATION: University degree in information science; computer science and/or engineering; creative, visual or performing arts; graphic design; communications; or marketing is required.
•   EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience working with graphic design and publication and inventory control or in the field of information provision or marketing, broadly defined. Incumbent should have some photography and videography experience. Experience in the use of emerging technologies and electronic resources is required.
•   LANGUAGE: Level IV (fluent) in both spoken and written English and in a language of the host country is required. (Language proficiency will be tested).

SELECTION PROCESS:

•   Perform data analysis, interpretation, recording and reporting in accordance with GNHR guidelines and standards.
•   Facilitate data collection, collation, data validation and storage of all GNHR Data on a daily basis.

•   Transmit data report to Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
•   Facilitate/ coordinate staff for data entry when required.
•   Provide data management updates in all internal and external meetings, as required.
•   Analyze data for quality improvement purposes.

•   Ensure data management procedures comply with standard of GNHR policies.

Reporting Responsibility:

Duration Of Assignment:

•   The Contract will last for one (1) year initially, but renewable for a second year subject to satisfactory performance.
