The Banking software administrator will assist the IT manager in providing full life-cycle database support for our banking system. Under the supervision of the IT manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the database, running daily basic tasks, running tests as per supporting end-users for the Head office and branches of the institution

Job Description:

•   Perform basic database administrative tasks
•   Ability to design basic reports and perform extensive testing on all new reports.
•   Perform the End of Day Process
•   Write detailed procedures on all tests performed
•   Assist in training users of the Banking software

Helpdesk
In order to provide the maximum efficiency to the Advans staff, the IT department is maintaining a helpdesk, which allows each user to report their problems as quickly as possible. The helpdesk will be responsible to log the problem, follow its resolution and inform the users

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree
•   1 – 3 Years in IT / Banking system support and training in a financial institution
•   Relevant qualification in Information Technology
•   Must be able to program using SQL.
•   Must have the ability to write SQL scripts
•   At least 2 years relevant database or programming experience preferably in a financial institution or a software house
•   Working knowledge of banking software is a plus.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree in Information Systems or related qualification
•   Minimum of 7 years’ experience.
•   Basic experience in log analysis, core interpretations and wireline fluid / pressure sampling
•   Excellent communication skills
•   Excellent knowledge of English Language
•   Knowledge of principles, practice trend and concerns in the Governance processes

Plan the project

•   Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
•   Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
•   Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
•   Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
•   Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
•   Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

Manage the team

•   Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization

Implement the project

•   Execute the project according to the project plan
•   Develop forms and records to document project activities

•   Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project

Control the project

•   Write reports on the project for management
•   Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements
•   Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
•   Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
•   Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
•   Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
•   Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements

Evaluate the project

•   Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
•   Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc or similar qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering
•   Technical, analytical, interpersonal and organization skills required
•   Windows/Unix/Linux knowledge will be an advantage

•   Willing and able to travel throughout Ghana to provide technical support.
