Esoko is looking for a for a talented, ambitious, self-directed individual to guide product life cycle from conception to launch. As a product manager, you’ll be responsible for coming up with great new features and product ideas and making them a reality. You’ll define the product strategy and vision, work with customers to understand the product gaps, unmet user needs, and collaborate with the engineering team and user experience talent to bring products to the market.

Responsibilities

•   Have a thorough understanding of the market needs and understand competition.
•   Must be able to conceptualize new ideas, research new ideas and evaluate them objectively from a market standpoint.
•   Gather and clarify product enhancement requirements with internal and external customers of Esoko.
•   Manage and prioritize enhancements for existing and new products.
•   Create Product Requirements Specification for the development team. This document captures functionalities along with the screens and feature behaviour.
•   Co-ordinate with the development team to ensure software can be delivered with agreed functionalities and timelines.
•   Manage complete product lifecycle including requirements, release plans, product launch and other tactical activities.
•   Drive product roadmaps through market research and customer interactions.

Qualification Required & Experience

Required Skills

•   At least 10 years of product development experience for an IT company.
•   Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
•   Strong product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to translate business requirements into product functional requirements.
•   Strong interpersonal skills, communication and decision making skills.
•   Any experience in software development area – developer, Quality Assurance, application support is a plus.
•   Familiarity with the software project life cycle, from requirements gathering, to testing, to delivery for traditional and Agile methods would be a plus.
•   Should be a good team player with a self-starter attitude, ready to take initiatives

Plan Ghana, an international child-centered community development organization, is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented person to fill the position of Country Information Technology (IT) Coordinator. The position is located at the Ghana Country Office, Accra and reports to the Country IT Manager.

Job Purpose: To coordinate and provide technical support for users, and to manage and administer local IT infrastructure and corporate systems under the direction of the Country IT Manager.

Typical Responsibilities – Key End Results of Position:

•   Provides IT operational plans for the continuous delivery and operation of Information Systems
•   Implements IT disaster recovery plans within the business continuity plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of the IT services in the event of disaster
•   Ensures security and access control for data and network devices
•   Plans and manages PU technical services ensuring adherence to all corporate processes
•   Ensures availability and reliability of the IT infrastructure, applications and connectivity to support work processes
•   Provides first line support, advice and solutions to IT users in relation to application, data and vusiness process issues, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely fashion
•   Ensures that system security and organisation compliance, processes and procedures are in place and properly maintained at the PU
•   Performs proactive tasks for IT infrastructure and corporate applications maintenance for business continuity
•   Maintains agreed levels of service provision and service levels to ensure compliance
•   Provides IT support to deliverying programme outputs for the implementation of PU plans
•   Provides IT expertise to IT in the communities (IT as a medium of development)
•   Facilitates information management and usage to support the delivery of PU activities
•   Increases user IT proficiency through the tranfer of skills to Plan staff and communities
•   Fulfills Plan’s Child Protection Policy at all times to protect children from all forms of abuse
•   Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the achievement of organisation goals

Dealing with Problems:

•   Understands IT requirements as per the Operations Manual and other policies and procedures and provides answers to staff questions and queries on IT related activities
•   Supports with coaching staff on IT activities
•   Works with minimum supervision
•   Analyses issues, makes recommendations and referes all final decision making to a senior manager

Communications and Working Relationships:

•   There is a medium contact with contractors, service providers and suppliers for the provision of technical quality materials, equipments, and maintenance that would ensure Plan receives value for money
•   Maintains high contact with staff from the programme unit and low contact with country offices to offer technical support in relation to IT systems
•   The job responsibilities of this position require occasional contact with children and it is expected that children shall be protected at all times.

Qualification Required & Experience

Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:

•   First Degree or equivalent in Computer Studies with 2 years working experience or Diploma in computer studies with 3 years working experience
•   Proven ability and experience in setting up LANs and telecommunications networks
•   Experience of supporting LANs, SQL Server, and email server administration
•   Experience of Microsoft Server administration
•   Experience in managing and implementing information systems and supporting technologies
