World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful person to fill the above position.

Reports to: IT Manager

Purpose of the position:
To Support and maintain the day-to-day operations of hardware and business applications in use by World Vision – Ghana through the provision of a client-oriented service.

Major Responsibilities:

•  Plan and maintain a call tracking system and to evaluate hardware and business applications in the Base and ADPs to ensure that they are operating optimally
•  Setup, install (softwares and security tools), troubleshoot and configure all end-user computers and related equipment in the Base and ADP Offices
•  Provide support to resolve all data and voice communication and related problems in the Base and ADP offices by working in collaboration with ADP point persons and vendors
•  Liaise with Head Office IT team to ensure optimum availability of Internet and WAN Links at the Base and ADP Offices
•  Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT and related hardware and software in the ADPs and the Base Office
•  Generates monthly reports and Collaborates with ADP Managers to assess their support requirements at the beginning of each FY

Qualification Required & Experience

Job Specification:

•  Educational level required: A university degree in BSC Computer Science or related field
•  Technical Training qualifications required: Any of A+ certification, MCP, Network+
•  2 years’ working experience and another 2 within WV will be an added advantage
•  A good understanding of remote connectivity via the Internet
•  A good understanding of hard and software troubleshooting techniques
•  Good client liaison capabilities and ability to train end-users

Purpose of the position:
Support and maintain the day -to-day operations of Operating Systems, Lotus Domino Servers, SQL Servers and associated hardware and business applications in use by World Vision Ghana through the provision of a client-oriented service.

Major Responsibilities:

•  Provide and maintain documentation and guidelines to help users in the efficient use of Operating Systems, servers and business applications
•  Evaluate data center hardware, Operating Systems, business applications and other services continuously and ensure these are operating optimally
•  Administration and maintenance of all Data Center servers including Windows Operations Systems, Lotus Domino Applications and Messaging servers, SQL database servers, etc
•  Configure and set-up of all new server systems required internally for WV business
•  Ensure secured business email is available and accessible nation-wide
•  Identify business application needs and business automation processes to ensure a proper workflow of data among all WV departments and Services in the National Office and Projects locations
•  Ensure daily backup of all data in the Data Center to appropriate backup media. Maintain backup logs of all backup operations and ensure these are available to WV Auditors upon request
•  Prepare regular progress reports to the IT Manager based on an established performance agreement
•  Keeps an update-to-date server monitoring Dashboard with metric including availability, performance, technical capacity, etc

Qualification Required & Experience

Job Specification:

•  Educational level required: A university degree in Computer Science or Information technology
•  Technical Training qualifications required: Qualified MSCE, MCTP or ITIL version 3 foundation
•  4 years working experience, 2 of which should have been in a Systems Administrator context
•  Experience in Lotus Domino server administration and or Microsoft SQL Server Administration
•  Service management culture and team spirit with a burning desire to achieve optimum  results ….
•  Good working knowledge of major data center systems and operating systems and computer hardware components
•  Good working knowledge of the following operating systems: – Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008

Description Of Job

The successful applicant will report to the IT Superintendent and will have the following responsibilities:

Computer Systems

•  Responsible for hardware installation, repair and maintenance of all company computer systems on site and corporate Office
•  Support and maintain hardware related updates/upgrades of firmware/software

Printers/MFPs

•  Perform all printer firmware/software upgrades and documentation
•  Event and troubleshooting management on all printers/MFPs
•  Responsible for the installation, support, repair and maintenance of all printers
•  User Support in performing Helpdesk and technical issues
•  Ensure all HP MFP/printer fleet is well managed, maintained and running at optimal performance using HP Web Jet Admin software or similar as directed by the IT Superintendent
•  Perform preventative maintenance on printer fleet
•  Provide best practice printer usage training to staff and handle all printer/MFP staff queries

Qualification Required & Experience

Educational Qualifications/ Tickets/Licences:

•  A Higher National Diploma or equivalent formal certification in IT/Electronics or in Hardware Related areas in a supervisory role
•  A BSc in Electronic Engineering
•  Must be HP certified or be able to obtain certification within one year

Skills and Experience Required   

•  3 years or more working experience in hardware repairs, management and support of computers and HP printers/MFPs
•  Must have technical understanding of HP printers/MFPs & HP Web Jet Administration
•  Management Software
•  Must have break/fix experience on HP printers/ MFPs
•  Must have break/fix experience on HP and Dell laptops and desktops
•  Must be able to do hardware removal and replacements of printer and computer parts
•  Must be able to do fault finding
•  Well-developed written and oral communication skills and fluency in English
•  Effective communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

•  Provides oversight and maintenance of project Access database
•  Creates Access reports for local reporting on project indicators
•  Participates in the collection, analysis, and reporting of baseline M&E data and ongoing M&E data collection, analysis and reporting according to the project M&E plan.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Secondary School (minimum), or a Bachelors Degree (desirable) in Statistics, IT, Community Health, Sociology, or other relevant field.
•  3 years of relevant experience in database management, monitoring & evaluation, or other relevant social science activities.
•  Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods.
•  Computer literacy, knowledge of analysis software (Excel, SPSS, EPiInfo, Arc GIS, etc).
•  Skills in Access database development and queries are required.
•  Knowledge of health project implementation in general, with knowledge about malaria prevention programs very desirable.
•  Knowledge of material logistics systems is desirable.
•  English language competency.
