Job Summary

As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities:

•  Plans, coordinates, plan and supervises subsurface teams’ activities including data acquisition, reservoir characterization, modelling, production monitoring and forecasting, reserves bookings, production surveillance and technology, well target selection and planning programs;
•  Manages acceptance of sub-surface field management and future phase; development plans by internal and external stakeholders;
•  Plans and delivers development wells for future  phases of other fields;
•  Leads in the training and mentoring of sub-surface staff;
•  Delivery of fit for purpose production and development plans for other fields;
•  Manages relationships with external stakeholders in all matters pertaining to sub-surface

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering;
•  15+ years broad petroleum engineering experience, including in particular offshore oil field development and production management;
•  Deepwater experience a plus;
•  Familiarity with Reservoir Engineering  and Production Technology skills, both classical and numerical simulation principles (ECLIPSE, Petex, Kappa);
•  In depth skills and experience in geosciences (Geophysics, Production Geology and Petrophysics); experience of marine turbidites systems an advantage;
•  Ability to multi-task and prioritise between competing projects, and to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion

•  Initiates and executes work programs and technical justification as required;

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Masters Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline;
•  Minimum of 15 years experience at a senior level;
•  Technical background with significant line management experience;
•  Working experience in Petroleum Joint Venture environments, familiarity with JOAs, PSA and the Petroleum agreements and business system;
•  Familiarity with large asset operations/logistics;

Within the next one year, the Poject Manager is expected to play a pivotal role within the organisation regarding project start-up of waste treatment and production of fertiliser and enegery. The successful candidate will manage the design, construction and implementation processes for the production plants under the direction of the Management Team (MT).

Responsibilities:

•  Co-ordinates technical design processes with all the appointed team members and external experts, leading to a waste treatment process, the fertiliser product and an electricity product at targeted sites.
•  Co-ordinates the legal and institutional obligations (e.g. EPA, MOFA, EC certification)
•  Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks and field/site operations.
•  Responsible for co-ordinating the up-scaling of production plants to other targets sites in the Greater Accra Region.

Knowledge and Experience

•  Project management and training skills
•  Project management software (e.g. MS Project)
•  Technical design process and operations supervision
•  People and team management skills
•  Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
•  Knowledge of EPA, fertiliser or energy certification process is required
•  Substantial amounts of project management skills is a must

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Master’a Degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering, Environment Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years post qualification industrial experience.
