Qualification Required & Experience

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will report to the Social & Community Development Manager and will have the following responsibilities:

•   Manage technical reviews to identify areas for potential improvement.
•   Evaluate options for improvement in operational performance and implement initiatives to address:
•   Support Senior Management to develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy for the business and ensure consistency of messaging and effectiveness:
•   Responsible to provide expertise and support on community engagement and program initiatives:
•   Provide advice and support to functional personnel required to engage with the community:
Develop robust community frame work for PMGL and manage the delivery of community development programs:
•   Identify community aspirations and opportunities for developmental programs to support PMGL’s business objectives:
•   Supervise the administration of the company’s land resources and mineral rights lands in accordance with the Minerals and mining Act 206 and Company Policy:
•   Supervision of update and maintenance of the company’s land database so that the status of every parcel is monitored throughout the land access process. Implement plans of actions to address issues identified:
•   implement policies, procedures and plans for existing, and new access programs:
•   Administer schedules for compensation payments, within the budgeted resources, and ensuring that the final survey, evaluation and contract payments are undertaken timely, efficiently, accurately and with minimal conflict:
•   Ensure ongoing land access activities are efficient, timely according to budget:
•   Supervise consultants and technical experts as required from time to time. Such consultants and technical experts may include Lawyers, Land Economists, Social Scientists and surveyors.
•   In conjunction with other units, determine land access related needs and opportunities in an assigned geographic or program area; and coordinate with programs of other internal departments, as well as relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, or public or private groups to meet these needs and opportunities.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in the Social Sciences or Related Area.
•   A minimum of 10 years’ experience in community development practice with a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry.
•   Strong knowledge of Land access management.
•   Good Conflict resolution Skills.
•   Good Networking and negotiating skills.

•   Assist with the process plant compliance training as required;
•   Individual field based coaching with area process operators;
•   Undertake field competency based training and assessment;
•   Assist with the development of field training material in conjunction with the Process Training Supervisor – Compliance and Document Control;
•   Assist with updating training material and SOPs for process area operations training;
•   Attend and actively participate in monthly safety meetings
•   Participate in Plant Safety Inspection; and
•   Ensure all schedules are adhered to and all-training sessions are delivered on time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   High school Education,
•   Ability to manage documentation and keep up to date training records,
•   Minimum of 5yrs plant operating experience at operating mine sites,
•   Hands on Process Operator experience in Gold Processing Plants, and
•   Experience in Process Plant Supervisory.

•   Defining detailed geology and ore domains through pit mapping, drill core logging and database reviews,
•   Assessing and monitoring grade control methods,
•   Liaising with mine geologists to ensure optimum mining of ore blocks,
•   Reconciling resource and grade control models to mill feed;
•   Mentoring junior geologists,
•   Some exposure to near mine exploration,

•   A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mapping and open pit gold mine and / or exploration
•   A keen interest in geology and understanding of mineralisation controls.

•   Undertake development projects as instructed by the Maintenance Superintendent;
•   Supervise work within the Maintenance team to ensure all assigned duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner;
•   Overall custodian of plant Availability and downtime compliance;
•   Minimizing processing cost whilst maintaining /exceeding mill availability targets;
•   Provision of a driving force to Maintenance KPI,s and reporting compliances as per the business requirements directed by the Maintenance Superintendent or Process Manager;
•   Actively participate in Plant Maintenance related incident investigations; and
•   Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent or Process Manager that fit within the business requirements, as and when requested

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma,
•   Ability to use MS Office and MS Project,
•   2 years as Supervisor or similar in a Process Plant Maintenance environment,
•   Ability to read vendor manuals to decipher parts and equipment successfully, and
•   Ability to read P & ID, s/PFD, s.
