BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The incumbent advises customers on federal acquisitions and purchases goods and services locally Ghana), in the United States of America, and internationally utilizing varying procurement vehicles such as purchase orders, delivery orders, blanket purchase agreements, imprest fund, IDIQs, or contracts.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

•   EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school and two (2) years of college with Higher National diploma (HND) in Acquisition and Purchasing is required.
•   EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of clerical experience in a logistical, procurement, or supply environment is required.
•   LANGUAGE: English Level 4 (Fluency; speaking/reading/writing) is required. Good working knowledge of written and spoken English is required. (Language proficiency will be tested.)
•   SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to negotiate purchases to ensure lowest cost consistent with company standards for quality products and maintain knowledge of the local representatives and distributors and build constructive relationships.
•   JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have comprehensive knowledge of purchasing methods, and Department of State acquisition procedures, contracts, and research methods.

SELECTION PROCESS:
