Job Summary

•   Designing and assembling solar panel systems in accordance with safety codes and standards.
•   In charge of onsite wiring, monitoring, mounting all aspects of the solar energy installation systems.
•   Apply the highest level of workmanship to all elements of the job.
•   Perform routine PV system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipment.
•   assist other team members as needed.
•   Keep work areas, company vehicles and job site clean and organized.
•   Work on other projects or assignments as directed by management.

•   Gives attention to detail and quality workmanship.
•   Is a quick learner.
•   Takes instruction well and applies it diligently
•   Is a team player and works well with others.
•   Awareness of and continual application of safe working practices
•   Possess a valid driver’s license
•   performs physical labour. May be required to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. May assist others lifting/carrying objects heavier than 75 lbs.
•   Work is outdoors on uneven terrain requiring work boots
•   The job site may have heavy equipment and vehicles

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum requirement is HND in Electrical Engineering Technician Part II or III, University degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
•   Electrical Wiring Professionals Certification (CEWPs) preferred.
•   Prior knowledge of PV technologies is not required, but training in Solar Energy/Photovoltaic systems is a plus
•   Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in electrical wiring and installations.
•   Must be proficient in electricity distribution line works.
•   Ability to demonstrate a competence in basic maths and writing service order reports.
