Keegan Resources Ghana Ltd. (“KRGL”) is a fully-­?owned subsidiary of Asanko Gold Inc., a company
which is building the Asanko Gold Mine, Ghana’s next goldmine. The vision of Asanko is to become a mid-tier gold mining company that maximizes value for all stakeholders.

KRGL is seeking to employ a qualified person to fill the role below. This is a permanent position with a competitive work roster resident in a single status camp environment. The camp’s facilities include fully serviced air-conditioned rooms, Wi-Fi access, laundry service, wet mess, sporting facilities (swimming pool, gym, volleyball/basketball, tennis, pool tables, table soccer, soccer grounds). Remuneration package includes attractive salary and performance based incentive payments.

Position: Instrumentation Technician

Key Responsibilities:

•   Ensure compliance with the highest standards in terms of safety (OSHAS 18001) and environmental management (ISO
14001);
•   Assist with calibration of instruments and speed control systems
•   Assist in enforcing electrical and instrumentation standards and procedures
•   Maintenance and fault finding on Siemens S7 PLC
•   Maintenance of instrumentation on HPGR
•   Assist in developing workshop flow systems and implementation thereof
•   Identify problems and advice on remedial action and implementation thereof

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognised institution
•   Minimum of 4 years experience in similar position in a gold processing plant;
•   Basic Networking
•   Basic Ethernet, Profibus, and FiberLinks
•   In-depth understanding and 10 years proven ability in calibration and in applying electrical and instrumentation standards
•   Good knowledge on Siemens S7 PLC and SCADA systems;
•   Ability to meet diverse instrumentation challenges
•   Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•   Well-developed oral and written communication skills
•   A hands-on approach and be willing to work long hours to obtain required results
•   Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
