Title: Head of Unit, Taskforce
Reports To: Director, Compliance
Job Summary: Leads the Taskforce Unit, overseeing the enforcement of security protocols and coordination of field operations to prevent unauthorised gold trading and movement. Provides strategic direction on anti-smuggling efforts and collaborates with law enforcement to maintain the integrity of the gold value chain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement taskforce strategies to address illegal gold trade and smuggling.
• Supervise taskforce operations, including site inspections, patrols, and intelligence-led enforcement.
• Liaise with security agencies and regulatory partners for coordinated interventions.
• Oversee training, emergency preparedness, and compliance with enforcement procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of taskforce activities and reporting systems.
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualification Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in law enforcement, intelligence, or security operations, with 5 years in a senior role.
• Expertise in anti-smuggling operations, surveillance, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and incident management capabilities.
• High ethical standards, sound judgement, and strong inter-agency coordination skills.
