Title: Senior Officer, Planning
Reports To: Principal Officer, Planning
Job Summary: Supports in developing strategic plans for the organisation by conducting market research, analysing industry trends, and assisting in forecasting to inform executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct industry research and data analysis to guide decision-making on gold sector trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the organisation’s programmes to track performance against strategic goals.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs for executive management and external stakeholders.
• Assist in risk assessments related to strategic initiatives, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop internal frameworks for tracking the impact of the organisation’s policies on the mining sector.
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Strategic Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in strategic planning, policy analysis, or corporate planning.
• Familiarity with research techniques, forecasting models, and policy assessment tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and dashboard creation.
• Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex strategic insights.
• Proactive in researching industry trends and anticipating planning needs.
• Ethical and responsible in ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
