Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher will work directly with children with diverse disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, and learning difficulties. The teacher will design and deliver individualized learning plans, support classroom routines, and collaborate with caregivers and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement **Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver instruction tailored to each learner's needs.
• Use adaptive teaching methods, visual aids, and hands-on learning.
• Assess learner progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Promote inclusive practices and positive behaviour support.
• Work collaboratively with therapists, caregivers, and staff.
• Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and community outreach programs.

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities.
• Knowledge of special education needs such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or cerebral palsy.
• Ability to design individualized learning materials.
• Strong communication, patience, compassion, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for working with children with diverse abilities.
