An Animal Feed Processing company requires the services of a Mechanical Engineer.

Main Duties

•Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, hammermills, pellet presses, mixers, elevators, fans, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors and dust-collection systems
•Perform preventative and predictive maintenance planning, develop and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules
•Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
•Lead installation, commissioning and mechanical upgrades of new equipment and retrofits, prepare installation drawings and work scopes
•Manage spare-parts inventory for critical mechanical components, recommend stocking levels and obsolescence plans
•Coordinate and supervise contractors and maintenance technicians, provide technical guidance and training
•Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (lockout/tagout)
•Support reliability improvement programs (RCM, TPM, vibration analysis, thermography) and implement contunous-improvement projects to reduce costs and increase throughput
•Maintain accurate maintenance, records, equipment histories and BOMs, prepare reports on equipment performance and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, availability).
•Collaborate with production, electrical, process and quality teams on troubleshooting, process optimization and capital projects
•Prepare technical specifications, vendor evaluations and cost estimates for mechanical equipment and services

Qualification required & Experience

•Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
•3 to 5 years (Adjustable per level) of mechanical engineering or maintenance experience in feed mills, grain processing, bulk processing, bulk material handling, or similar heavy-process plants
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in feed mills, pulverizers, pellet mills, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, belt conveyors, pneumatic conveying and dust control.
