Job Vacancy For Electrical Technician
Job Purpose
•The successful candidate shall maintain all electrical systems and installations in good working order to insure against their failure and avert disruption of operations within the framework of the policies and work procedures of the company
Principal Accountabilities
•Carry out electrical preventive and repair maintenance on all electrical systems on buildings, plant and equipment at avert failure and ensure uninterrupted operations
•Record all maintenance work carried out on plant and equipment in the Equipment record sheet to facilitate accurate assessment of the working condition of plant and equipment to enable decision-making on replacement, rehabilitation or repairs
•Monitor all relevant parameters on the high and how voltage switchgears at the electrical energy substation to ensure safe and interrupted operations
•Assist in the installation, testing and commission of new electrical equipment and plant machinery to ensure correct operation and integration
•Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and impact on production
•Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, company standards and statutory requirements, including use of proper PPE and safe work procedures
Qualification Required & Experience
•HND Electrical/Electronic or EET II (Electrical/Electronic)
•Minimum of 3 years post-qualification industrial experience
•Knowledge of programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), Power Electronics, Digital electronics, Micro Computers, etc
•Ability to apply analytical thinking, introduce innovative solutions and perform effectively with little or no supervision
•Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
•Must be a person of high verifiable moral character and proven integrity
•Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2018 Management systems
