Job summary
•Lead the formulation and implementation of insight driven strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and maximize customer lifetime value, in the consumer segment. Oversee the design, optimization and excellent execution of robust customer value propositions and campaigns to acquire, grow and retain profitable customers for MTN.

Key Tasks:
•Develop and implement identified consumer segments strategy and long-term objectives -Understand targeted consumers’ current and emerging needs, monitor competitive landscape and competitors in order to balance segments with product offerings for key market segments (Digital 1st, HVC, Youth, and Mass market).
•Generate in coordination with Business intelligence (Insights and Analytics) teams segment performance management reports to inform decision making.
•Validate all targeted consumers’ propositions and define value thereof in order to balance revenues and allocate resources accordingly whilst ensuring an appreciable understanding of the industry, competition , margin protection and driving scale.
•Oversight responsibilities for the development and implementation of timely insight based loyalty and retention interventions/ programmes with assurance of end-to-end superior and differentiated customer experience whilst using MTN.
•Liaise with peers in key Techno Commercial roles (IS Data & Device, Sales, Digital and CeX to define and deliver robust device strategies within all targeted segment for sustained acquisition/retention schemes.
•Manage core Consumer Segments Team, monitor overall market performance with weekly tracking of on-going initiatives & pricing quick wins.
•Ensure strategies for International Business and Partnerships via robust value proposition are developed and implemented and manage relations and business with third parties, implement activities to ensure most robust and superior inbound and outbound roaming propositions to deliver customer satisfaction and ensure optimal revenue generation from all streams
•Ensure the assessment, development, and adherence to marketing policies procedures and processes for Risk Management purposes.
•Collaborate with other business units in strategy development and execution of commercial plans to improve efficiency and leverage new cross functional business opportunities in product and processes innovation especially within the Digital , Fintech and Home space’s
•Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory policies/directives and consistent stakeholder engagement to improve efficiency and effectiveness in product roll out
•Develop and implement activities that impact positively on brand health indicators
Qualification Required & Experience
Education:
•University Degree in Marketing or a relevant field
•A Masters’ Degree in Marketing or Business is a plus.
Experience:
•8 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position in an FMCG or telecommunication organization in a multinational environment.
