The Council of the University of Cape Coast invites applications from qualified and competent persons for the position of Vice-Chancellor of the University which became vacant from 1st August, 2026.

Job Summary

•The Director is the Head Of DAPQA and reports to the Vice-Chancellor
•He/She shall be of a professorial rank

Key Responsibilities

•The Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance shall be responsible for coordinating the planning and monitoring of academic programmes in the University
•He/She shall also spearhead the university wide quality assurance system including all sections and the various mechanisms designed to maintain high performance standards
•He/She shall report to the Vice-Chancellor

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must:

•Be internationally acclaimed scholar of a professional rank
•Hold a PhD in a relevant discipline
•Have considerable teaching, research and administrative experience in university or analogous institution and
•Be well grounded in the principles of total quality management

Term of Office

The position, which is full-time, is for a 4 years term, renewable for another term 4 years only, if that is not beyond statutory retiring age
