Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Data & Analytics Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities. This individual will be responsible for strengthening data collection processes, leveraging machine learning and advanced analytics to build robust predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic business outcomes. The role focuses on improving financial reporting accuracy, optimizing revenue and cost validation, and supporting product development and commercial performance through data excellence. By automating reporting workflows and developing intelligent models—such as the Prepaid and Hybrid Upsell Model—this professional will contribute directly to service efficiency, revenue growth, and operational transparency across the organization.
Responsibilities:
•Enhance data collection frameworks to ensure comprehensive and accurate data capture for analytics and reporting systems.
•Apply machine learning techniques to perform feature selection, model development, and optimization, including preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
•Automate and improve the quality, relevance, and timeliness of reports and dashboards using innovative technologies and tools.
•Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery and data operations.
•Conduct month-end validation of revenue (Prepaid, Post-paid, Hybrid MRCs, ADSL, Interconnect, Vodafone Cash) and direct costs (Interconnect Local & International), comparing results with Revenue Assurance and escalating discrepancies exceeding defined thresholds for resolution.
•Design, develop, and maintain a machine learning-driven Prepaid and Hybrid Upsell Model to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities with existing customers.
•Utilize advanced data modeling and analytical techniques to uncover insights that inform strategic decisions and operational optimizations.
•Deliver timely, accurate reports and performance insights using BI tools, ensuring alignment with business reporting timelines.
•Provide data-driven analysis on consumer behavior, usage patterns, and the impact of network performance on service revenue; support the preparation of business forecasts.
•Supply high-quality data and insights to the Finance Decision Support teams (CBU & EBU) to support new product development, portfolio rationalization, and strategic planning.
•Support post-implementation reviews for newly launched products by delivering data and analytical insights to commercial business units and finance teams.
•Partner with the Technology Finance Decision Support team to generate actionable insights on cell site profitability and monitor regional performance trends.
•Develop and maintain an enterprise inventory of information maps, including authoritative systems, data owners, and governance structures.
Qualification Required & Experience
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
•Proven experience in data analytics, machine learning, or a related field, with a strong foundation in statistical modeling and data processing.
•Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and HFM.
•Experience in the telecommunications industry is advantageous, including familiarity with telecom revenue streams and operational metrics.
•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive performance discussions with business stakeholders.
•Strong initiative, proactive mindset, and ability to anticipate team needs and deliver solutions independently.
