Job Summary

•Responsible for the coordination and execution of fiber and terminal equipment optimization projects through project planning, tracking progress, and ensuring tasks are completed timely, within scope, and to quality standards.

Key Tasks

•Develop detailed field implementation project plans, control methods, procedures, and responsibilities for aerial and ground fiber implementation.
•Prepare, collate, and analyse Technical Site Survey (TSS) reports, HLD/LLD designs and drawings.
•Coordinate schedule, monitor and track inventory, procurement, and project Management of all installation works.
•Responsible for the physical On Site Plant (OSP) and In Side Plant (ISP) network activities within MTN property.
•Develop detailed project tracker, report templates, and organize weekly project meetings to review progress and quality requirements of the project.
•Implement MTN Quality Control/Health Safety & Environment (HSE) program on site and ensure all project documents are obtained and verified before project closure.
•Preparation of Request for Proposals, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and implement procurement management activities on ISP/OSP Projects
•Provide support in identifying, escalating, and mitigating project risks and challenges timeously.
•Undertake basic troubleshooting on IP/Ethernet/SDH/WDM/Optical networks to resolve service anomalies.
•Ensure strict inventory integrity of project materials and logistics records for core and access fiber Projects.
•Responsible for managing project cost and Governance issues.
•Supervises critical project activities such as ducting, backfilling, sagging, cable tensioning, blowing, and re-instatement during both aerial and ground fibre deployment
•Conduct ATP and sign off with project contractors and assists with service migration of network services onto newly deployed fiber routes with minimum impact to network availability and quality.
•Coordinate resolve project implementation issues and conflict.
•Coordinate vendor teams in delivering fiber projects by ensuring the vendor adhere to MTN implementation process, method of procedure and Change Management processes.
•Manage project interdependencies and recommend solutions where applicable.
•Timely System Receipting [Material & Service] as per SLA.
•Ensure asset cost is logged into the Fixed asset register, closing Capitalisation through Project Finance Management and Fixed Asset Register teams.
•Drive quality improvement initiatives using field issue trends, customer feedback (e.g., NPS, MTTR), and audit findings.
•Conduct regional quality audits and ensure standardization of build practices across all deployments.
•Deliver targeted quality training to regional technical teams and supervise knowledge transfer initiatives.
•Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
•Contribute to efficient project operations and provide regular updates and documentation to support successful project delivery

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

•A Degree in Electrical/Telecom/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study.
•Project Management Professional Certification a must
•Experience 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
•Understanding of project management methods and practices, including methods of preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates, reports and recommendations.
•Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
