Job Summary
•Manage the execution of MTN Business SME broadband and ICT sales strategy across the southern sector of Ghana through a team of contract field sales staff and supervisors. The role is accountable for the acquisition of new SME customers and the growth of revenue from Fibre broadband, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), devices, and value-added business services. The incumbent will drive field sales activations in business districts, manage sales booths at business events, deliver against quarterly and annual sales KPIs, and feed market intelligence and innovation inputs into the SME segment strategy.

Job Role
SME Broadband and ICT Sales Strategy and Execution:
•Lead the execution of MTN Business SME broadband and ICT sales strategy across the southern sector of Ghana.
•Translate national EBU sales strategy into regional execution plans for SME customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
•Own the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Fibre broadband, FWA, devices, and business VAS solutions within the assigned territory.
•Develop and implement an annual account management and territory plan for the SME segment in the southern sector.
•Provide structured input to the Senior Manager, EB SME Sales on product, pricing, go-to-market, and partnership opportunities specific to the SME segment.
Field Sales Team Leadership:
•Lead, motivate, and manage a team of contract field sales staff & direct supervisors covering the southern sector.
•Set individual and team targets aligned to revenue, acquisition volume, and product-mix objectives.
•Operate a sales cadence including daily stand-ups, weekly performance reviews, monthly business reviews, and field accompaniment.
•Provide input on the hiring, deployment, and termination of contract field sales personnel in collaboration with the contract sales vendor and EBU HR business partner.
Product Sales Execution – Fibre, FWA, Devices, and VAS:
•Drive sales of Fibre broadband (FTTB and FTTH-SME variants), Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), mobile and customer-premise equipment (CPE) devices, and business value-added services to SME customers.
•Ensure the team is trained and certified on the full SME product portfolio, with current pricing, bundle constructs, and value-proposition messaging.
•Coordinate with Solutions Engineering and Network teams on customer site qualification, feasibility surveys, and installation handover.
•Drive upsell and cross-sell into existing SME accounts using a structured account-mining approach.
•Surface product, pricing, and packaging gaps identified in the field to inform product and commercial decisions
Field Activations and Business Event Sales:
•Plan and execute sales activations in priority business districts, markets, industrial enclaves, business parks, and commercial centres across the southern sector.
•Mount and operate MTN Business sales booths at trade fairs, business events, industry conferences, SME exhibitions, and chamber-of-commerce events.
•Track activation ROI on lead generation, conversion rate, cost per acquisition, and revenue uplift
Pipeline, Forecasting, and Performance Management:
•Own the SME broadband and ICT sales pipeline for the southern sector across all stages
•Analyse sales data, win/loss patterns, and territory performance to identify gaps, and opportunities
•Ensure full team utilisation of CRM (Salesforce or equivalent), sales tracking tools, and reporting dashboards.
•Use data to drive evidence-based coaching of supervisors and frontline reps.
Customer Engagement, Onboarding, and Retention:
•Support the team in resolving customer escalations during the sales-to-installation lifecycle.
•Drive customer retention and revenue protection initiatives within the SME base in the southern sector.
•Proactively support debt collection in collaboration with Finance to maintain a healthy account-status position.
Qualification Required & Experience
Education
•Minimum of University Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales Management, Telecommunications, ICT, Engineering, or a related commercial discipline.
•Recognized sales-management certification is an advantage.
Experience
•Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience in B2B or enterprise sales, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or sales-management role.
•Demonstrated experience selling broadband, ICT, or telecommunications services to SME customers, ideally including Fibre, FWA, or fixed-data solutions.
Competencies
Professional/Technical Competencies:
•In-depth understanding of the SME broadband and ICT market
•Product and solution knowledge across Fibre, FWA, devices, and business value-added services, including speeds, pricing, packaging, and value propositions.
•Technical understanding of FTTB, FTTH, and FWA network fundamentals, last-mile delivery, customer-premise installations, service feasibility assessments, and operational limitations.
•Knowledge of customer qualification, site assessment, and service provisioning processes.
•Commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, discounting, margins, revenue drivers, forecasting, and business performance measurement.
•Understanding of field sales operations, territory management, route planning, trade marketing, field activations, and event execution.
•Working knowledge of CRM platforms, digital sales tools, and internal sales applications.
•Knowledge of outsourced, contract, and extended-workforce sales team management practices.
•Knowledge of data analysis and insight generation to support decision-making and continuous performance improvement.
