TEACHING STAFF:

Job description:

•Teach courses in their respective subject areas at the undergraduate level;
•Prepare teaching and learning materials and assess students’ academic work;
•Supervise students’ projects, practicum and other academic activities;
•Undertake research and publish in reputable scholarly outlets;
•Participate in curriculum development and review;
•Serve on College committees and contribute to institutional administration;
•Engage in community service and outreach activities;
•Support the College’s mission and uphold its faith-based values;
•Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Department.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must:

•Possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
•However, applicants with an MPhil degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants should additionally:

•Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate qualifications in the respective field of specialisation;
•Demonstrate sound knowledge and competence in their subject areas;
•Possess teaching experience in a tertiary institution, which will be an added advantage;
•Show evidence of research capability and scholarly potential;
•Possess good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
•Be of high moral character and integrity, with a commitment to the Christian ethos of the College.

Relevant Areas of Specialization:

•English Language: English Language, Applied Linguistics, English Education or related fields.
•Mathematics: Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related fields.
•ICT: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, ICT Education or related fields.
•Visual Arts: Visual Arts, Art Education, Graphic Design, Sculpture, Painting, Ceramics, Textiles or related fields.
