University of Cape Coast is seeking to recruit Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA).

Position: Director of DAPQA

The Director is the head of DAPQA and reports to the Vice-Chancellor. He/She shall be of a professorial rank

Key Responsibilities

•The Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance shall be responsible for coordinating the planning and monitoring of academic programmes in the University. He/She shall also spearhead the University wide quality assurance system including all sections and the various mechanisms designed to maintain high performance standards. •He/She shall report to the Vice-Chancellor

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must:

•Be internationally acclaimed scholar of a professorial rank
•Hold a PhD in a relevant discipline
•Have considerable teaching, research and administrative experience in a university or analogous institution and
•Be well grounded in the principles of total quality management

Term of Office

The position, which is full-time, is for a 4 year term, renewable for another term of 4 years only, if that is not beyond statutory retiring age
